Just because you haven’t yet arrived at your beach hotel doesn’t mean that you and the kids can’t go for a swim, a game of boules, or a game of tennis for that matter. Perhaps surprisingly there is a Gatwick Airport hotel where you can do all this and more:

The Leisure Club at the Copthorne Hotel London Gatwick has some of the best sports and leisure facilities of any hotel near Gatwick Airport. Their 15m indoor swimming pool is perfect for doing a few laps before taking your flight, and the steam room, sauna, solarium and gym are also welcome. The facilities do not stop there… there are also tennis courts, squash courts, a putting green, croquet lawn, a children’s adventure playground and a jogging track, all of which are quite unexpected for a hotel so conveniently located less than 10 minutes from Gatwick Airport. Combine these activities with a stroll through the 100 acres of woodlands and colourful gardens, and you have no excuse not to be feeling ship shape before your flight.

First Class Dining at Your Gatwick Airport Hotel

When researching Gatwick hotels, location, convenience and price are often the main criteria for deciding which Gatwick Airport hotel to give your custom to. We agree that those are indeed important criteria, however we don’t think they are necessarily the only criteria that should be used. Particularly if, like many, you treat your stay at a Gatwick Airport hotel as the first night of your holiday, wouldn’t it be great if you could enjoy an excellent dinner and fine wine the evening before your flight? Well, you can do just that at the Hilton London Gatwick.

For an airport hotel, their selection of restaurants and bars is certainly impressive, with the highlight for dinner being Amy’s Restaurant which features international a la carte dining, including sumptuous starters such as Grilled King Prawn and Avocado Gazpacho, Pan Fried Scallops with Pancetta, or Potato Gnocchi and Wild Mushroom, and delectable main courses which include Spiced Cod Fillet with Curried Risotto, Tandoori Marinated Corn-Fed Chicken Breast, and Loin of Lamb with Sweet Potato Rosti.
A more casual dining experience, as well as breakfast and lunch can be found at the Garden Restaurant, where there is often a dinner buffet as well as an a la carte menu with steaks, curries and pasta dishes.
Pre-dinner drinks or an after dinner port or brandy can be enjoyed in the contemporary Amy’s Bar which also serves snacks and light lunches, while Charlie Fry’s Sports Bar is a great place to unwind with a pint and watch the sport.
Costa Coffee is a great place to grab a quick coffee or tea in the morning before you check-in for your flight, and guests staying on the Executive Floor can take advantage of the free continental breakfast in the Executive Lounge.
All in all, guests staying at the Hilton London Gatwick Airport will have an excellent selection of food to suit any taste and budget, giving you the energy you need before you take off!
